Watermelon spillage holds up traffic on M25 clockwise at Junction 31 for Dartford Crossing

A watermelon spill is holding up motorists on the M25.

Traffic on the motorway is currently being held clockwise within Junction 31 for the Dartford Crossing due to a “spillage of watermelons”.

A National Highways update reads: “A road sweeper has been requested to clear the spillage.

“Long delays continue to build on approach, currently adding at least 30 minutes to journey times.”

Lane 3 has now reopened past the scene.
