The family-themed event will be hosted by Cohesion Plus in partnership with Ebbsfleet Development Corporation (EDC) for a second time.

EDC cultural development manager, Laura Bailey, said: “Fusion Festival is part of our wider programme of activities taking shape in Ebbsfleet, which aims to empower residents and community members to get involved in activities on their doorstep and play an active role in shaping the growing community.”

Like last year, a range of activities for all age groups are scheduled, including magicians, balloon making, and sports and yoga sessions.

For young children, there will be pirate and princess walkabouts, dinosaurs and a roaming life size mechanical elephant.

There will also be a range of stalls promoting health and wellbeing and a pop-up bar and street food outlets and live entertainment of cultural music and dance performances will be featured.

The festival first piloted last summer with a successful turnout of more than 1,500 people.

Building on last year, the event will host a ‘Big Tea’ celebration, raising money for Valley Hospital Charity as part of the NHS’s 75th birthday.

Creative director of Cohesion Plus, Gurvinder Sandher, said: “The arts are a great way to connect people, and with this family-focused festival we will have lots of activities and entertainment planned for everyone to enjoy.

“So be sure to come down to enjoy the spectacular celebrations."
