KENT singer Shane Hampsheir is preparing to pull out all the stops for his biggest performance to date, and he is bringing the 17-piece Ben Beddoes Big Band and a flurry of dancers with him.
This Saturday, February 24, Shane will bring his razzamatazz to the Mick Jagger Centre, Shepherds Lane, Dartford, with his gig, Feeling Good.
The 18-year-old performer from New Ash Green, near Dartford, said: “This show, although similar to previous ones, is bigger and better.
“For the first time I am being backed by a big band – the Ben Beddoes Big Band.
“Rehearsals have been under way for a while now and the sounds these guys make is amazing, this is very exciting for me.”
In the next 10 days the jazz/swing singer will be taking his show on a mini tour of Kent to drum up ticket sales.
First there will be a live acoustic set on the Paul James Show on BBC Radio Kent and then a session on Valley Park Radio, the Darent Valley Hospital radio.
Doors open at 8pm and tickets are £9.50 (concessions £5.50), available from the box office on 01322 291100.
