Lorry accident on A2 eastbound at Bean

An accident involving a lorry and a car left traffic queuing on the A2.

The incident happened on the eastbound carriageway near the Bean Interchange junction for Bluewater.

All lanes were briefly held while the lorry was moved to a lay-by.

All lanes were reopened by 3.15pm and traffic is back to normal.

At one point queues stretched back to junction 2 for the M25.

No one was injured in the collision, which was reported to police at 2.40pm.

Meanwhile, there are queues anticlockwise on the M25 between junction 3 and junction 2 after a lorry was involved in an accident.
