Fire crews battle Dartford Heath blazes

Around 30 firefighters have been tackling a series of fires on Dartford Heath.

Six engines from Kent Fire and Rescue Service, along with an all-terrain vehicle, were called at 5.50pm yesterday.

It took crews an hour to tackle several fires in the area. The largest blaze covered an area of around 200 square metres.

The cause is unknown and there are no reported injuries.

Kent Police also attended the incident and is investigating.
