A 21-year-old van driver suffered a head injury during a collision in Hextable.

The man was treated at the roadside after the accident in Main Road before being taken by land ambulance to the major trauma unit at King’s College Hospital in London.

He was also said to be suffering from back pain but was conscious.

The collision between the Scania box van and a Volkswagen panel van occurred just before 2pm on Monday, October 21.

Police and the Kent Air Ambulance also attended the scene.

The road was re-opened just before 3pm.
