KENT welcome another 'new boy' to Canterbury on Tuesday with the official planting of the new lime tree on the St Lawrence outfield.

The ceremony, which will involve former Kent and England player Chris Cowdrey, will start at 11am but parking spaces at the ground will be limited.

The replacement tree was transplanted on Friday afternoon and will be re-planted alongside the shattered stump of the historic lime, which blew down on January 7.
