Hundreds of youngsters expected at mini festival

More than 850 budding rugby players from 10 clubs will be taking part in the Land Rover East Kent Minis Festival at Canterbury on Sunday.

The biggest event in the mini-rugby calendar features age groups from 7 to 12 years. Games at Canterbury Rugby Club’s headquarters in Merton Lane North start at 10am and continue until 2.30pm.

“It is a big challenge for the club to organise an event of this size,“ said Press Officer David Haigh. “But we have done it successfully in the past and know that all those future rugby stars from every part of East Kent will enjoy themselves.”
