This is sex pest Derek Wells, jailed for 60 days for performing a lewd act in a children's play park.

Homeless Wells, 42, told police he had been "desperate" after studying the Daily Sport and Star newspapers earlier in the day.

At Canterbury Magistrates' Court, he admitted outraging public decency.

Richard Parkin, prosecuting, said police were called to Victoria Park close to Victoria Road, Wincheap, after reports that a man had spent 10 minutes lying on his back performing a sex act.

The caller told police Wells occasionally used the paper to disguise what he was doing. She said she was concerned because children often use the park.

Mentally ill Wells has convictions for abusing police, committing a sex act in a Wincheap office car park and pretending to have sex with a wall in St George’s Place, Canterbury.
