Paula the polar bear visits Canterbury

A special visitor took the chance to explore one of Kent's biggest attractions.

Paula the polar bear was spotted at Canterbury Cathedral today as she took a day trip from Margate where she is assisting Margate's Turner Contemporary Animals & Us exhibition.

The life-size puppet, who has been spotted throughout the seaside town this summer, was seen taking a stroll through the Cloister.

On loan from Greenpeace, she has come to town thanks to a successful £15,000 fundraiser supported by 292 people.

The aim is to provoke conversations about climate change and how humans can co-exist with animals.
