Students at Canterbury Christ Church University unable to view results

Stressed students are unable to view their vital university results due to a technical blunder.

The Canterbury Christ Church University glitch has resulted in a number of third year students struggling to gain access to an online portal.

Frustrated students, who are still in the dark over the outcome of their exams, have taken to Twitter to voice their frustration.

Justin Brown tweeted: "Any idea when it will be fixed?? Some of us are waiting to apply for jobs, and need the final grades to apply with... And the deadlines for those jobs are really close!!"

Fellow university-goer Jessica Stradwick posted: "Paying £9000 a year and you can’t even get results out on time."

A statement published on the university's website says the issue is being looked into.

It reads: "We are really sorry that yesterday the student portal experienced technical issues, making it difficult for students to access their results.

"We know how important results are to you and are therefore aiming to email a high level summary to students today so that you can see your overall module marks and progress. Unfortunately this is not your full academic summary which will show more details.

"Although the student portal is currently working we are continuing to monitor the situation and address any technical issues.

"We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused."

Further updates on the IT problem are expected to posted during the day.

Student Ellie Pyart tweeted: "Why can’t the results for third year students be emailed directly to us tonight? This is very unfair to put us through another day of anxiety and stress when we all worked so hard."
