Hotel worker robbed at gunpoint

A TEENAGE employee at a hotel suffered a terrifying ordeal at the hands of a robber armed with a handgun.

The robber entered the Holiday Inn Express, in Upper Harbledown, near Canterbury, between 11.15pm and midnight on Monday.

The 19-year-old victim was forced into a staff room where he was tied up with duck tape, causing reddening to his wrists.

The raider then stole a small sum of cash from the tills, as well as the victim’s mobile phone. He then locked the teenager in the staff room and left.

The robber is described as black, about 6ft 1in tall, of athletic build, and wearing a white hoodie, jeans and black trainers with white laces.
