Crash cyclist escapes serious injury

A CYCLIST was lucky to suffer only minor injuries when he was involved in a collision with a car in a Kent city.

The accident took place at around 6.15pm on Thursday on the roundabout near the Stour Retail Park in Sturry Road, Canterbury.

The bike ended up under the car but the male cyclist escaped with a badly bruised leg.

He was taken to the Kent and Canterbury Hospital for treatment.
