Attempted Faversham sledgehammer burglar charged

A 31-year-old man has been charged with attempted burglary after a sledgehammer was used to try and smash through the front doors of Boots.

It happened at 5.10am on February 8 at the chemist’s Preston Street branch in Faversham.

Lee Finnis of Goldfinch Close, Faversham appeared for a remand hearing at Faversham and Sittingbourne Magistrates court on February 12.

Police have only just released the details.
