Man charged with Ashford High Street criminal damage

A man has been charged with breaking into a High Street property.

Police were called to the Ashford High Street shortly before 6am on Wednesday, following reports of a disturbance, during which doors to a premises had been damaged.

Lloyd Roberts, who lives on the street, was charged with possession of a knife in a public place, attempted criminal damage of a bench, criminal damage of a building and using violence to secure entry to a premises.

The 42-year-old appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court yesterday and was bailed to attend Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on Friday, September 18.
