Ashford teenager Bradley Jordan made his first appearance for England last Thursday in the under-16 Victory Shield match against Northern Ireland.

The Towers School pupil (pictured) is currently on the academy books at Charlton Athletic, where he has been since aged nine, and his skills were recognised with a call-up to Kenny Swain’s young England team.

Jordan came on as a second half substitute to help the England side complete a 2-0 win over Northern Ireland at Chester City’s Deva Stadium.

The midfielder, who has been captaining the Addicks’ under-16 side, will now hope to be included in the squad which faces Scotland on November 26 at Tynecastle, home of Scottish Premier League side Hearts.

Both nations are locked on six points at the top of the Victory Shield table and England need to avoid defeat to retain the title for the ninth successive season.
